Co2 Mosquito Traps - Mosquito Killing System
Our mosquito trap, the Mosquito Killing System (MKS) uses Co2 and electricity to provide a heat source that attracts mosquitoes like a magnet and kills them. Our Mosquito Killing System is more effective than other mosquito traps, because it uses CO2 AND a vacuum to pull the mosquitoes into the unit.
Here is a comparison chart of various co2 mosquito traps, propane traps, electric mosquito traps, and the industrial bug zapper.

How our mosquito trap works:
New and improved, the Mosquito Killing System (MKS) uses the mosquito’s natural hunting techniques of heat sensing and carbon dioxide detection. The unit mimics the body temperatures and breathing patterns of humans, livestock, poultry, and domesticated pets. The photocell powers up the MKS, beginning the cycle of mimicking body heat and respiration. The MKS simulates the breathing of warm-blooded mammals by the release of carbon dioxide in 5 hour intervals. Every 6 to 9 minutes the MKS cycles through various temperatures to attract the mosquito.
Through thermal imagery, and the release of CO2 the mosquito is attracted to the unit. Once inside the unit, the fan/vacuum forces the mosquito through the machine. Mosquitoes are killed when they pass through the electrocution grid. The remains are then expelled through the bottom of the unit and returned to the environment.
Why is the use of electricity, heat and Co2 so effective?
Our mosquito trap uses heat and carbon dioxide (Co2) to mimic the breathing patterns and body temperatures of humans, livestock, poultry, and domesticated pets every 6 to 9 minutes. Electricity is used to power the unit to avoid the odor associated with propane.
Will the mosquito trap kill any other insects?
Yes, the traps are also effective for other insects that are attracted to heat and Co2, including
No-See-Ums, gnats and biting flies.
How is the vacuum/fan used?
The mosquito trap attracts the mosquitoes with the CO2 and infrared light, then vacuums them into the unit where they are quickly and quietly eliminated.
Does the mosquito trap run all the time?
The Mosquito Killing System is equipped with a photocell that turns the unit on at dusk thru dawn, making it energy efficient.
Are chemicals used?
Self-cleaning, safe and quiet, the Mosquito Killing System is the most effective way to combat your existing mosquito problem without the need for potentially harmful pesticides or chemicals. In addition, the MKS does not attract beneficial insects, which are good for the environment.
Is the Mosquito Killing System expensive to use?
No, CO2 and electricity are the only expenses to run the unit. Costs for each of these vary by market and are similar to most household appliances.
Does the placement of the MKS affect the results?
Yes, mosquitoes look for the easiest source of heat and Co2, so the closer to the source of the mosquitoes, the better it works.
Is it possible to control mosquitoes in an area?
Yes, studies have shown that 90% of the biting mosquitoes live within 100 yards of where they hatch. The MKS is effective up to one acre coverage.
Where can I fill up the carbon dioxide (co2) tank?
The MKS uses a standard 20 lb. Co2 tank. The tank used by the MKS is the same tank used extensively in the beverage industry. Because Co2 is non-flammable, non-explosive, and non-toxic it is easy to store and transport. To find a Co2 refill source near you, try looking in the Yellow pages under "Medical & Industrial Gases."
